Day #14: Eat the Rich

It’s a pretty good time to be an oligarch. But hey, it’s not all bad. We peasants can still get a few cheap laughs while late-stage capitalism burns down the world around us, right? RIGHT?

Today’s experiment started with us thinking about the phrase “eat the rich.” Which got us thinking, “How much money is Elon Musk worth per bite?”

Which, OBVIOUSLY, led directly to this:

Try it out. (Hope you’re hungry!)

Just one bite each of Musk, Bezos, and Zuck and your meal is already worth more than the World Bank’s Amazon Reforestation Bond.

And you’d only need 75 bites (the number in an average meal) to get all the stuff on this list!

Oh and we should mention…there are ACHIEVEMENTS!

To be extra fair, we also allow ANYONE to estimate their per-bite value. The median American weighs 181 pounds and has a net worth of $192,200. That comes out to a per-bite value of $48.27.

Which means, to take this weird food metaphor to its absolute limit, you would have to take 2,141,066 bites of the average American to equal the value in a single bite of Elon Musk.

So go ahead, eat the rich. They are clearly the most nutritious.
