Day #9: Rorschach Test

We humans are weird little meaning-making machines. Guess what? So is GPT.

So it seemed only natural to bring all that meaning making together in the context of the ultimate meaning-making test: the Rorschach.

Try this GPT (requires ChatGPT+ subscription)

Of course, this is no substitute for a real test with a real licensed professional. But it is pretty dang fun, if we do say so ourselves. Which, obviously, we do.

Just hit the submit_test button and sit back as GPT presents you with a series of inkblots. For each one, tell it what you see, what kind of vibe it gives off, or whatever your unfiltered thoughts are.

After a few inkblots, GPT will present you with a “comprehensive” report on what it’s discovered about you.

Which just gave us a BRILLIANT idea. Time for a fun test of our own!

Based on our Rorschach results, can you guess who is who?

  1. “Your responses suggest a personality that is imaginative, sensitive to nature, and capable of innovative thinking. You seem to have a knack for blending different elements into a cohesive whole, indicating a holistic perspective. Your ability to find humor, even in a test like this, points to a positive and perhaps resilient approach to life’s complexities.”
  2. “Your responses to the Rorschach test are indicative of a creative and imaginative mind with a keen sensitivity to emotional nuances. There is an element of stress sensitivity, which is a common and normal human experience. Your perception of social roles and actions is quite vivid, suggesting an active engagement with your surroundings and societal structures.”

Challenges

This one was surprisingly easy (especially after digging into Nerority’s json-based workflows). EXCEPT! No matter how many times we tweaked it, the ding-dang thing has a VERY particular style of inkblot that it clearly INSISTS on using. Could be a limitation of Dall-e and the weird middle management ChatGPT does when generating images. But then again, maybe it knows something we don’t 🤔
